Elliptical Trainer Sales
The summer is an excellent time to get a great deal. Summer is traditionally the slowest time in the fitness equipment industry. Companies are sitting on inventory and anxious to move elliptical machines out the door. You'll find prices lower than in the winter when sales are brisk.
Below are several deals worth noting. These elliptical trainers offer superior value in their price range.
Note: Prices fluctuate and the below mentioned sales may have changed. These are the dates as of 8/12/08
Budget Elliptical Trainers
Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer - The current $549 price with shipping at Amazon.com
is usual sale price. However, I feel this is one of the better budget ellipticals available, and a good value. See the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer Review.
NordicTrack AudioStrider 800 Elliptical - What makes this a unique elliptical is the incline function. Like a treadmill you can lower or raise the incline. Gives a more intense workout, and focuses your exercising on different parts of your legs. On sale for $699 with shipping. See NordicTrack AudioStrider 800 Review.
Mid-Priced Elliptical Trainers
Sole Elliptical Trainers - Sole makes some excellent front drive elliptical trainers. All the models below come with a comfortable 20" stride and 5-year parts and 2-year labor warranty, with tells you something about the quality. Amazon.com is offering three of the models for about 5% less than the prices at the Sole web site. However, Amazon does not offer inside delivery, and these models all weigh around 200 lbs.
Sole E35 - $1,235 - Amazon.com
Sole E55 - $1,425 - Amazon.com
Sole E95 - $1,620 - Amazon.com
Smooth CE 2.1 - Normally the CE 2.1 sells for $1,299, but it is available from Costco for $999. For a moderate priced machine, it is fairly solid with a good service record. You will need to factor in sales tax, and if you are not a member, an additional $50 charge. See the Smooth CE 2.1 Review.
Commercial Grade Elliptical Trainer
Smooth Agile DMT - I felt at $3,999 the Smooth Agile DMT was a bit pricey. However, they recently dropped the price by $500 at SmoothFitness.com
, which makes it a serious consideration. They call it a "Dynamic Motion Trainer" rather than an elliptical trainer. The technology allows you to exercise and shape different parts of your lower body. See the Smooth Agile DMT Review.
